That night, Dr. Schotte prayed, “Teach me to heal and I will teach the world what I learn.”
Dr. Schotte is a survivor of childhood abuse, including an assault by a serial rapist at gunpoint at 10. Her younger brother interrupted the attempted rape, causing the rapist to set her free. Dr. Schotte entered therapy with a sexual abuse specialist at 28. At 30, she went into training as a psychotherapist at the Wychwood Park Psychotherapy Institute in Toronto, Canada and began counseling others under supervision.
At 33, the therapist with whom Dr. Schotte had now worked for five years, said she wasn’t sure anybody could recover from so much trauma. That night, Dr. Schotte prayed, “Teach me to heal and I will teach the world what I learn.” After this, Dr. Schotte became a full-time student of alternative healing and self-directed in her healing process. In 2000, she started the research and clinical work for her unprecedented Nature-Spirit based system for spiritual healing. In 2008, she graduated from the Open International University for Complementary Medicines with a Ph.D. in Therapeutic Counseling.
Dr. Schotte has devoted many thousands of hours to counseling and teaching seminars for spiritual healing around the world. Her mission is to support women to experience the spiritual liberation she has attained.
Dr. Schotte was raised Catholic. In 1985, at age 25, she was introduced to yoga and has been a practitioner ever since. In 1988, she was introduced to Goddess/Nature-based spirituality, at which point she made a decision to follow a spiritual rather than religious path. She started studying the work of Alice Bailey and other renowned esotericists in her early 30s. From 1995 to 2000, she studied with Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer, including completing their three-year Discovery Program. She became ordained in the Order of Melchizedek in 1997. In 2001, she became a student of A Course in Miracles. She became a Kriya Yoga initiate in 2010. She became an Ordained Interfaith Minister through the International Council of Community Churches in 2012. As a minister, she aligns with the Christ Consciousness of unconditional love and unity.
In 1990, Dr. Schotte began training in Educational Kinesiology™ (Edu-K): a comprehensive energy program for balancing the brain-body system to support the unfoldment of innate potential. This system works in four dimensions of transformation: structural, ecology, emotional and accupressure. Dr. Schotte studied extensively with the creator of this system over many years, accumulating 1000+ credit hours in this field. To support her work in Educational Kinesiology, she became a certified Touch for Health Practitioner. In 2000, Dr. Schotte’s mentor told her, “You are here to bring in your own system of healing” and then supported her to do it.
Dr. Schotte started using and studying the Bach Flower Remedies in 1986. In 1994, she discovered the Perelandra essences, created by Machaelle Small Wright. Perelandra specializes in health, environmental balance and Soil-less gardens. Dr. Schotte has studied all the Perelandra systems and processes in-depth and applied them in 1000s of hours of clinical work. In 2000, Dr. Schotte began making her own flower essences and founded La Vie de la Rose in 2006. Her system of vibrational healing through flower essences is masterful.
